Welcome to Conversations with Just Lois

Hello There!

I'm Just Lois

I am a retired kindergarten teacher and reading specialist. My husband and I will celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary this year. We are blessed with our family which includes a son, a daughter and five grandsons. We enjoy time with our family and friends, going for walks, taking day trips to explore new places to eat lunch and browse antique/thrift shops, and sunsets on Lake Michigan. When I am not writing or spending time with friends and family, I love to knit and crochet while watching an old movie or listening to a cozy mystery on Audible.

My first book, Super Bloom: A Daughter’s Journey to Healing, was published on Thanksgiving Day 2024 and is available at Amazon https://amazon.com/author/loisgmartin

It is the story of my journey to healing from childhood physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father. His everlasting love healed me from all the pain of the past and filled me with renewed peace and joy. It is my prayer that my testimony will lead others to realize that healing is possible for them too.

The Healing Journey That Changed Everything

Writing Super Bloom wasn’t just about telling my story—it was a sacred process of surrender, restoration, and redemption.

I walked through the shadows of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. But I didn’t stay there. With faith as my compass, I found peace, joy, and identity through God’s healing love.

My prayer is simple: that this story becomes a light for someone else’s path.

“Even the most broken roots can bloom again. Just give them time, love, and Light.” – Lois G. Martin

What you get with this book

This is not just my story—it’s an invitation.
An invitation to reflect, to feel, to hope again.

In Super Bloom, you’ll walk beside me through pain, breakthrough, and healing. You’ll see that even the deepest wounds can be transformed into something beautiful. You’ll feel encouraged to explore your own journey and reminded that no matter what you’ve faced, healing is possible. Joy is possible. A super bloom is possible—for you, too.

What makes me write this book

I wrote Super Bloom: A Daughter’s Journey to Healing because I knew there were others walking through silent pain, just like I once did. For years, I carried the weight of childhood abuse—emotional, physical, and sexual—that threatened to define me. But God had a different plan.

Through His healing love, I found freedom, peace, and a new sense of purpose. Writing this book was part of that healing—an offering to the world, a testimony of what’s possible when we let light in. If even one person feels seen, understood, and encouraged through these pages, it will have all been worth it.
